Unlistenable Music

Unlistenable Music (or muzik, muzak, musak) is the primary component for the audio branch of the multimedia conglomerate ULP. Run out of Pittsburgh, this shadow corp. approved label releases musics of the "experimental" (that is, collage, plunderphonics, noise, etc.) persuasion. In other words, this is a collection of experiments conducted by me, the guy writing this and transmitting the light directly to your cornea. Most of these are as meaningless as the nonsense I write to describe them, and I discourage anyone to take it seriously. Goodnight.

Huh? is 1/3rd of the brain power behind ZOG. All of these pieces are short improvised snippets on a keyboard, but we couldn't hear what was coming out of the keys and this is what resulted. Recorded on a CTK-720 in August 2014, with some vinyl sounds added later. A short one.

What is the meaning of obsolesce? Many objects, especially those concerned with the musikal idiom, find themselves still useful decades after they had been declared useless. Cassette tapes are still viable in noize-making and self-producing, vinyl records are at the supposed vanguard of musical fidelity and make good frisbees, and you can throw 8-tracks at people for fun. Recorded on a record player in August '14. Four Speciel Request

ZOG is a muzikal manifestation of the media conglomerate known as ULP (Un-L Products) and is spreading the conspiracy from their home HQ in Western PA. All materials on a boombox tape deck recorded from August - October 2013, utilizing AM radio frequencies as means of aural liberation (and other some such things). A little computer magick was also procured in this operation. Produced by CT. A telepathic migraine from us to you.

Media is a monopoly of thought. The global consciousness is overtaken by the television, internet, and the radio. What you see is not what it seems, the man behind the myth isn't hard to find. Read between these lines. Recorded on an overdriven turntable. Drop in, Tune out

An audio manifesto directed against degenerate formats that are seeding America and Europa's land with analog dependence. The fact that vinyl records are on the rise in terms of sales is yet another proof of Aural Marxism, as if it wasn't already prevalent enough to see exactly whose agenda we're unwittingly supporting via purchase. Recorded on a Sony tape recorded from a turntable. Goodnight, vinyl sides.

Happy Noël from us to you with a present: A Christmas album! In other words, the nature of suppression is as prevalent today as it always has been. Not unlike repression, suppression has the tendency to backfire, giving what was suppressed more attention that what usually would be. Recorded on a boombox tape deck in November '14. Hingle Jells

Gang Stalker is composed of agents in servitude to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (F.B.I. in short, spelled backwards is a totally different story) assigned to the task of keeping certain citizen(s) in check. Right on your doorstep. Recorded on a Sony Tape Recorder. Heavier than a breath in the alchemy.

The roots of this release lay in the idea of "Sola Scriptura". Now, we here at ULP don't know what this means, but these two people sure are excited about it. Recorded August 2014. Produced by CT. Now with less political/religious leanings.

More from our collective souls The sound of feedback is a beautiful one to us, for many others an ugly one. Same goes for the sounds of footsteps, metal, scraping, et cetera. But why do we record these sounds in the first place? I don't know. Recorded on a tape record and a Casio keyboard (the recorder was left on for some reason one night, hence the second "piece").
